Origin of the Mark
Λ is lambda. Greek. The eleventh letter, drawn without a crossbar — open at the top, planted at the base.
We chose it because it isn't an A. The A has a horizon. Λ has none. It rises into black.
Everything we make is a reduction. One color. One silhouette. One letter that refuses to be another.

100% Merino · 380 GSM
Italian-spun merino, knit in a closed mill outside Como. Heavier than fashion-weight, lighter than industrial.
Double-needle · 12 stitches/cm
Sewn with a flat seam against the skin, lock-stitched on the outside. Each panel is cut single — no nested bundles.
Berlin · Manufactured in Saxony
Designed in Berlin Mitte. Cut, sewn, and finished in a 40-year-old workshop in Saxony. No outsourcing, no overruns.
Inversion
We made fewer pieces, in fewer colors, in fewer sizes. What we kept, we made better. What we cut, we never miss.
Etymology
[ ˈmavro ] — Greek for black.
Before the brand was a name, it was a word. μαύρο — the way a language with three thousand years of history says black.
We transliterated, weighted the Λ, and stopped. No flourish, no second color, no second meaning. The word does the work.
